Easton Legacy Elite
The Easton Legacy Elite is another great baseball glove from Easton and shows that it can compete with some of the higher class outfield gloves.
Like I just said, this is an outfielders mitt, which is why it is 12.75″ in length. I feel that this is a great length for a high school and college outfield mitt.
I was an outfielder when I played ball, and know how important it is for your glove to have a good break-in, and length. When you field a grounder from the outfield, you have to reach to the ground next to one foot, then go into a crow hop. Most of you know this and know the problems that can come if the glove doesn’t perform right.
It can be too short and completely miss your glove, or it can be too hard and not broken in, making the ball bounce out. I remember how frustrating this is, but the Easton Legacy Elite won’t do that because of design features and length.
So let’s look at some specs and design features about the Easton Legacy Elite.
Design
The Legacy Elite baseball glove comes with both cushioned loops for the pinky and thumb as well patent PRIMASOFT sheepskin lining. Not only does this allow for an incredibly comfortable fit, it also allows for easier catching when gripping the ball.
It even breaks in more quickly. The Japan reserve leather gives it the firm durability that’s flexible enough to fit the uniqueness of your hand. Japanese reserve leather is something of a marketing term these days, but Easton makes a glove to last. The leather is tested and assured to hold firm even during the toughest games.
The Easton Legacy Elite doesn’t sacrifice quality for flexibility and comfort. It uses rolled leather welting. For this reason, the pocket uses single-welting. This allows for a deeper pocket than other gloves of a similar size. That deeper pocket is an outfielder’s best friend when the moment is tense and the ball is coming in hard.
The laces are made from 100-pound tensile strength U.S. tanned rawhide. They’re just as tough as the rest of the glove, which ensures the glove holds together during those rough games. Rain or shine, mud or dirt, Easton Legacy Elite is a glove that will make it through the game. No need for a backup glove when you have one of these on your hand.
This is an outfielder’s glove, so it ensures a lightweight construction that won’t weigh you down. The last thing any elite player wants is missing that pop fly by only a few inches because they couldn’t get their glove out in time. When combined with the deeper pockets this makes the Legacy series Elite baseball glove by Easton an outfielder’s secret weapon.
It weighs in at a little over 1 pound and it boasts a 12.5 inch length. The pocket pattern is an h-web, bound tightly so help ensure you can grip the ball without worrying about bouncing out. When combined with the sheepskin lining and flexible Japan reserve leather it gives an outfielder a firm, safe hand during the hardest catches.
The Legacy Elite from Easton has the traditional open-back of all baseball gloves. This allows for an easy handle to carry and you can hang the glove without fear of damaging the pocket leather tension. Easton has been in the business of baseball for decades. They know what makes a good glove, and they’ve put that knowledge to use here.
Overall
Because of the genius of Easton and their engineers/designers, I would say this is a pretty high-class glove that can really change your game.
The only downside is that it has a higher price than a lot of baseball gloves. I saw this coming because of the quality and craftsmanship that has been put into this glove.
