Wilson A900 Baseball Glove
Hey guys, here is another awesome baseball by Wilson: the A900.
You all may be familiar with the popular A2000, so you can see that this glove is in the lower tier compared to the A2000, but it can still get the job done. That is something that I always looked for in my baseball gloves if they can catch, field, and keep together for a couple of seasons I was good. Wilson has brought us that with the A900.
If you want to talk about pricing, the Wilson A900 is priced lower than other baseball gloves. That is one of the things that I like about this glove.
At this length, I feel that it could be good for the outfield. You can also tell by the webbing that the A900 has. You mostly see this style in the outfield. It can even be played with at third base.
With that being said, I find this glove to be a great budget glove. it is not that expensive for a baseball glove and you can get some good play out of it. Now let’s get into the design features of this glove.
Design
The glove itself features a very low profile heel which helps the glove provide a lot more flexibility. This alone makes it the perfect middle infielders glove because it helps the fielder be able to adjust easier to bad hops.
This glove comes with a Pedroia fit which means the glove was specially designed for players that have smaller hands.
Ultimately, it has a smaller hand opening and shorter finger stalls which allows those with smaller hands to have much greater control over the glove itself.
This glove was specially designed to be worn on the left hand. Therefore, the design and construction are optimized to be used for those that catch with their left and throw with their right.
Who Is It Right For?
This glove was primarily designed for the corner infielder that wants a glove that is going to make it easier to turn double plays and deal with bad hops much more effectively. However, it is large enough at 11.5″ to be used all across the diamond and even in the outfield.
It is a very versatile glove that can help a player adapt and react better to certain situations and placements. Because the glove features full leather construction, it doesn’t require much of a break-in period and it can conform to your hand after repeated use.
Overall
Like I said before, this is a great budget baseball glove. You get some great features in it like Pedroia fit, and it is extremely versatile.
When I was playing baseball in my younger years, I sported an 11.75″ as well. With that, I played outfield and I pitched. So you can say that you can use this glove all around the diamond which I really appreciate. There is a lot of value for the price that this glove is at.
