UA Harper One RM Men’s Baseball Cleats

UA Harper One RM Baseball Cleats

These Under Armour cleats are just what you need in order to enjoy the great game of baseball.

There is nothing too special about these cleats, which makes them great cleats to have for a season or two. In my opinion, there is no need to go overboard with expensive cleats.

When I played youth ball (or even in high school), I had cleats similar to the UA Harper One RM Baseball Cleats.

Synthetic Leather

The synthetic leather is a good choice for lightweight footwear that is still durable.

By the way, this material is what most baseball cleats are made out of. It is strong, flexible, and inexpensive. That means that you’re not paying for the most premium materials.

In my opinion, it is unnecessary to spend hundreds on cleats when these will do you no wrong.

These cleats come in a size 11.5 D(M) US and a Black and Metallic Gold color. The Gold is good because it kind of blends in with the dirt since they’re going to get dirty.

Ankle Support

On the upper part of the UA Harper One RM baseball cleats is a synthetic leather strap that is both durable and adds to the exceptionally comfortable feel when you put them on. The strap is for added ankle support.

It is smart to have ankle support like this in case the ball hits your ankle or someone slides into you.

Your ankle is one of the most important parts of walking and running, so it’s smart to protect it.

The synthetic leather has added support to ensure you have a durable baseball cleat that performs well.

Product features include:

  • Excellent traction and durability brought about by the rubber molded cleats
  • To ensure adequate stability, the cleats come with ankle straps for a tighter fit.
  • To keep the feet at the right temperature, ensuring they are cool and dry throughout the game. There is a mesh tongue that allows for breathability and air circulation.
  • EVA midsole disperses cleat pressure throughout the heel for that comfortable and snug feel.
  • Weighs just 12 ounces
  • Black/Gold color
  • Synthetic leather for extra comfort and durability

Pros

  • The cleats fit comfortably
  • Good looking cleats
  • They feel very light on the feet
  • Affordable pricing

Cons

  • The smell from the box may not be very pleasant once you purchase them
  • Usually a narrow fit

Getting Cleats for Youth Players

As a parent, you will likely base your choice on your child’s preference when buying a pair of baseball shoes.

For them, a shoe that looks good is all they may be interested in.

However, it’s good to consider a few other things. Even while the shoe does look good but does not fit properly or doesn’t feel as comfortable, their morale for the game may diminish affecting their overall performance.

Finding a pair that not only looks good but forts perfectly and is comfortable on their feet will have a positive impact on the game all while reducing injuries on the pitch.

The right size of shoes

Getting the wrong size for your baseball shoes will end up disappointing you. This is because they will feel uncomfortable especially after break in.

The right size is comfortable to your feet allowing for a snug fit. While this is easy to consider on paper, new shoes may be deceptive as they will feel different after break-in.

Select shoes that provide the length of about an inch between your toe and the end of the cleat. The shoes should also have a tight and snug fit. Once broken in, they will expand and feel comfortable around your feet.

Baseball cleats regulations

When it comes to metal cleats, only high school and college baseball players were allowed to wear them. The NHFS then allowed for softball players in high school to wear them.

Certain states however still do not allow metal cleats for high school softball players such as New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Maryland.

Most if not all youth baseball leagues prohibit the use of metal cleats. The best thing would be to check the rules and regulations set by your league and to make sure you make the best choice when buying baseball shoes.
