Spiderz Batting Gloves Review

Spiderz Batting Gloves (Three Kinds)

Want to look like Spider-Man? Yea, me too. Of course, if you’re gonna play baseball you’re gonna need some good batting gloves.  Only a few people like the no-glove feel, but personally, that is a no-go for me.  If you ever get blisters or cuts when hitting, I do think you should invest in some good batting gloves like the Spiderz Batting Gloves series.

These Spiderz Batting gloves are the most viral batting gloves I have seen, and you’ll see why.  No, I have never heard of these when I was younger, but all of a sudden when these caught some friction in the baseball world, they became super popular.  For a while, the Spiderz Batting Gloves have been getting some buzz in the baseball world because of the quality.

Hybrid Spiderz Batting Gloves

First off in the Spiderz Batting Gloves series are the Hybrid Spiderz Batting Gloves.  The Hybrid Spiderz Batting Gloves has a rubber wrist strap that not only makes the batting gloves easier to wear but also more durable. Each finger slot in the glove is made of a stretch Spandex material for easy movement. Each palm of the glove is made of silicone for not only better grip around the entire hand but also, combined with Lycra keeps your hands from sweating or becoming too hot. I know I like this feature because my batting gloves would get ruined after a season of sweating.

The 2017 Hybrid Spiderz Batting Gloves also come with a pre-designed shape to the finger slots. This makes them fit even better.  Each of the Hybrid Batting Gloves is designed with a unique web-like design on the palm of the gloves and the Trademark Spider on the top of each glove. The glove sizes art traditionally sized so choose the size of batting gloves that you are most comfortable with for the right fit.

Some of the colors they have:

  • Black/Grey
  • Blue/Pink
  • Black/Neon Yellow
  • Black/Red
  • Black/Royal Blue
  • Black/Saftey Green
  • Royal Blue/White

Spiderz Endite Batting Gloves

Next in the Spiderz Batting Gloves series, the Spiderz Endite Batting Gloves.  The Spiderz Endite Batting Gloves are sold in only adult sizes.  They have a specially made Identification Tag so that you can label your gloves to stop from any confusion between teammates. The Palm of the Endite Batting Gloves is made of the best quality leather. They are just one piece of material making a quality hold. The Endite Batting Gloves also have a specially designed strap on the wrist.  This gives each player additional support and a better fit. This line of gloves is available in some pretty cool colors as well. This line of batting gloves has a very simple look with a solid color palm and the trademark Spider on the top of the hand. The button below will take you to Amazon to see them.

Spiderz WEB Batting Gloves

Another style of Spiderz Batting Gloves is the Spiderz WEB Batting Gloves. They are available in various children and adult sizes. These gloves are unisex so both the guys and gals can look pretty cool in these.

The Spiderz WEB Batting Gloves are compatible with not only Aluminum and Composite types of bats but natural wood bats as well.  This means that no matter which level of baseball is being used, the gloves will hold grip for all those types of bats; even softball players. The WEB style batting gloves also hand an identification tag on the wrist strap.

The Spiderz Batting Gloves are made of Lycra Materials which allow the player’s hands to stay cool and stay flexible. There a lot of colors that are available.  Some colors are sold a limited basis so be sure to check which colors are available in your size before becoming buying. These batting gloves are designed with a web in the selected color scheme on the palm along with the Spiderz Trademark “Spider” on the top of the hand. The button below will take you to Amazon to see them.

Spiderz PRO Batting Gloves

The fourth and final style of Spiderz Batting Gloves there is to choose from is the  Spiderz PRO Batting Gloves that are a bit cheaper than the others; depending on retailer options. The 2017 Spiderz PRO Batting Gloves are made of polyester and Lycra Materials.  This material makes the gloves more flexible and easier to breathe in when playing and working up a sweat.

The Spiderz PRO Batting Gloves are available in Adult Sizes ranging from Small to 2-Extra Large. Children’s Sizes range from Youth Small to Youth Extra Large. The PRO Batting Gloves are also quite versatile and can be used by both men and women, boys and girls for use in Baseball, Softball, and even Fast Pitch Softball.

The Wrist Straps include a name tag on each wrist and each palm is a solid color with the top of the hand being two-toned colors with a smaller Trademark Spiderz logo so that everyone will know what type of gloves you are wearing. There are many different color schemes so you can match your uniform or maybe even your favorite color.  The ones that I would go for would be the white/red ones.  I think those stand out the most in my favorite colors and styles. The button below will take you to Amazon to see them.

Final Thoughts

Overall the Spiderz Batting Gloves might be the best baseball gloves that are out right now.  I like the style, colors, and customizability that these can bring to the field.  One of the most important things about these is that they will make you feel more comfortable at the plate.  That is the overall goal here and I do think that these will contribute to that.

For the youngest members of your Baseball Family, the Spiderz Brand also makes the 2017 PRO T-Ball Glove for young boys and girls who are just beginning their T-Ball Journey. The Spiderz Batting Gloves are available in either pink and white or blue and white.

Why Do You Need These?

Do you play baseball? Then you should know that it is absolutely painful to it without batting gloves for most people. You get blisters, then you have to hit with those blisters. If you put a band-aid on it then it’ll just fall off and be even more painful.  Batting gloves are just essential to most hitters so that you don’t rip up all of your skin.

It all depends on the type of skin that you have.  If you sweat more, or just have softer hands then you should probably be using batting gloves unless you want to mangle your hands up. On the other hand, if you have rough and calloused hands then you can stay away from batting gloves for a while. Even the roughest hands that I have ever seen get blisters and irritation sometimes.

Trust me, it is no fun to have to hit with a blister or to just have the feeling of your skin being ripped up when you’re swinging.  It is just the best idea to protect yourself with a nice pair of gloves like the Spiderz batting gloves above.

History of Spiderz Sports

So I found something interesting when trying to research for Spiderz Sports (the company that made these gloves).

I found absolutely nothing. I even visited the dreaded second page of google. Nothing.

If you have any information on Spiderz Sports so that I can include it in this review please let me know. I love seeing the history of baseball companies and how they got their starts. For example, I had no idea that Easton made the first two-piece metal baseball bat ever. You find some interesting stuff in the history of companies.

How Often Should You Change Your Batting Gloves?

If you’re reading this right now it probably is the time, but how do you know in general when it is time to get a fresh pair?

I would go about two seasons maybe three if I’m pushing it with the same batting gloves.  There is a lot of variables that go into it but there is just a couple that you probably know and see in your gloves.

Rips In The Gloves

When I played baseball a lot, just the wear and tear that my gloves took really ripped them up. Over time they dry out, take weather, take the cold, and all of those things combined just makes it hard for them not to rip.

If you have Spiderz Batting Gloves then you can probably go a little longer than usual batting gloves, since they are of much higher quality. Usually, if something has more quality then you can put a little more stress on them before they start to fall apart.

Odor

Yea, you sweat in baseball. After your sweat in your gloves, they just sit in your baseball bag until you have to use them again. This constant cycle creates bacteria and really bad odors in your baseball gloves.

Believe me, when I was in high school especially my gloves were terrible. You can look at them from a distance and feel your eyes start to burn. It smacked you across the face when I walked by with those suckers on.

Please do not be that guy because, like me, your teammates with find out that it is you and hate you for it. After I learned my lesson I immediately got new gloves but they do start to smell after a while.

Dried Out

This one isn’t as important as the other ones, but it does happen to baseball gloves and could be consequential. Some baseball gloves have grips on them that make it easier to hold the bat.  After your baseball gloves start to dry out, they crack and lose their grip.

You do not want to send your bat flying into the outfield since your baseball gloves don’t have the same grip that they used to.
