How to choose the right baseball cleatsNew Balance Men's PM3000V3

Most people who are fans of the great game of baseball know that winning and losing can be separated by a matter of mere inches. This is why players will take advantage of anything that will give them an edge over their competitors. One of the items of paramount importance to players is a pair of good baseball cleats.

Let us look at a few factors that should be in mind when selecting the best pair of baseball cleats that will give you that winning edge allowing you to make those explosive bursts of speed and allowing for quick sharp turns while keeping your feet well protected from injuries.

  1. Support for the ankles

There are three types of baseball shoes. Low tops, mid tops, and high tops. For players looking for maximum sprinting and lateral movement, low tops are the best bet. They, however, provide little protection for the ankles. If on the other hand, you are looking for maximum ankle protection, then high tops are the right choice. They, however, restrict lateral movement. Mid tops act as a compromise between high tops and low tops making it possible for quick and sharp bursts of speed and direction all while providing partial support to the ankles.

  1. Design and constructionNew Balance Men's PM3000V3

Baseball cleats are mainly constructed using two types of material. Genuine leather or synthetic leather. Each has its own share of advantages that make it stand out from the other. Genuine leather is more durable, more flexible and allows for better air circulation and breathability.

On the other hand, synthetic leather provides better protection for the ankles, middle of the foot and the front part of the foot. It may however not be as comfortable as compared to genuine leather. Genuine leather is also more expensive than its synthetic counterpart.

When selecting a pair of baseball cleats choose the one that is most affordable but remembers cheap baseball shoes may not offer the best service and protection to your feet as the more expensive shoes.
