2018 Baseball Bats

2018 Baseball Bats Are Here!

My fellow baseball players, enthusiasts, coaches, or parents… they are here. By this, I mean that the newest technology for baseball bats is now at your fingertips!  Take advantage of these awesome deals and updated technology! Any 2018 bats that I’ll look at will show up here so make sure you’re checking.

One thing that I know that I’m looking for is faster swing technology from updated materials.  I’ve been super excited for these bats to come out and become the better, faster, and stronger versions of their previous versions.  Most of these bats were already reviewed on this site so go check out those reviews to see the updates!  With all of the new designs and colors that these bats sport it’s like its the future!

2018 Easton Beast x Speed

Easton never fails to deliver awesome and exciting bats every year.  In this bat, the name does actually tell a story about it.  What I interpret beast and speed for is that this bat has both power and speed.  What I mean by this is that the materials are super strong and tough, while still having a super balanced swing which is actually one of the best on the market right now.

The power of this 2018 baseball bat comes from the new ATAC alloy material that is looking promising for all future bats.  So real quick, ATAC stands for Advanced Thermal Alloy Construction.  Not only does this mean that the material is super strong, but the acronym for it is literally “attack” (if you say ATAC like a word).  When I figured this out and put two and two together I realized the purpose for this bat.  It is an elite weapon that is used to destroy baseballs and send them to the afterlife.

The other part about this bat is the speed, which is a huge part of the dinger count that you will rack up this season.  Inside the bat is an all-new composite that the folks at Easton call Ghost X advanced composite.  This stuff is like the gum on the inside of a tootsie-roll pop that makes it out of this world.

Not only is this composite great for pop, but it makes the bat so much lighter and balanced you wouldn’t believe.  Most people overlook bat speed but that really is the thing that makes the ball fly.  The faster the swing the faster the bat hits the ball, and the faster and longer the ball will travel inside the air.

So overall I say that this bat is a great 2018 baseball bat and definitely moves the needle for all of the other baseball bat manufacturers for the 2018 season. Click here for the link to my review on this bat.

Louisville Slugger Prime 918

Being one of the three 2018 Louisville Slugger bats, the Louisville Slugger Prime 918 is no joke.  It features a microform composite barrel which makes this bat feel lighter than a feather.  Composite is known for adding bat speed but the microform composite is a new material that makes it even lighter.

The other side to the Louisville Slugger Prime 918 is that it has some great pop to it also.  It is not hard at all to get some nice line drives to the outfield with the combination of the bat speed and pop.

The three-piece design keeps the bat from vibrating and hurting your hands on a bat hit.  I can’t tell you how many times I would get jammed up in fall ball.  The pain of the cold mixed with the vibrations was nothing to mess with.  That is why the three-piece design is the way to go.

One last cool thing about the Louisville Slugger Prime 918 is the lizard skin handle made exclusively for this bat.  The handle complements the design and colors of the Prime 918 while still adding the comfort and grip that lizard skin grips usually have. Check out my full review of it here.

2018 Rawlings Velo

The 2018 Rawlings Velo is an awesome bat for any experienced player.  I personally like it by the feel and great handling that it has.

First off the Rawlings Velo is a one-piece aluminum alloy design.  This is personally one of my favorite designs for baseball bats.  The reason is just because of the good pop it has mixed with the speed of the lightweight and balanced barrel.  I always preach how well-balanced bats are, since that’s the type of hitter I am.

The Velo has a lightweight end cap made of a composite material which makes the bat swing even faster.  You can feel some good healthy weight to it but trust me this bat is all fun.

I also think that this bat just looks nice.  With the blue and white color scheme, it looks like a robot that is here to shoot balls to the outfield.  I know that was a little corny but it really does look futuristic.  This is just an awesome bat if you ask me and I think that you can benefit from the bat speed and pop.

Also, Rawlings is a trusted brand that has been making baseball bats for a long time now and I always liked their style.  Usually one-piece aluminum alloy designs, these bats are no joke and come with an affordable price to some players compared to other bats.  Read more on my review about the 2018 Rawlings Velo here.

2018 DeMarini Voodoo One

The 2018 DeMarini Voodoo One is a cool twist on the DeMarini Voodoo bats.  I actually had a DeMarini Voodoo when I was in high school and obviously loved it.

Talking about a cool twist, the DeMarini Voodoo One is a one-piece aluminum alloy design.  This is shocking to me since I know DeMarini for the top-heaviness of the bats that they produce.  I think that this is a refreshing look to the DeMarini Voodoo series.

Like a lot of DeMarini’s baseball bats, the DeMarini Voodoo One has an X14 aluminum alloy material that is used throughout this bat.  Not only is this fast and light, but the X14 aluminum is great for pop and durability.  This is why the X14 metal is used throughout other baseball bats.

The DeMarini Voodoo One is fast with a lot of power packed into it.  Power has always been DeMarini’s strong suit, but now it mashes with speed, which brings it to the next level.  If you like hitting solid line drives with some power behind it, this looks like a good bat for you.  You can check out my review on the DeMarini Voodoo One here.
