Mizuno MVP Prime

The Mizuno MVP Prime

Mizuno has been dominating the glove game for ages and now, they have the MVG (most valuable glove). The Mizuno MVP Prime is one of the most versatile gloves in its niche. It comes with a center pocket under the index finger to offer an adaptable break-in.

The quality materials chosen by Mizuno include soft leather which will improve the feel of the glove. It will also be aimed at players looking for natural movements which can’t be replicated with synthetic materials. Mizuno is proud of the chosen leather as it knows that professional players demand this type of quality which centers on firmness and comfort. Ultimately, the leather will help you improve the control of the ball.

Performance

The chosen materials play an important role in Mizuno’s glove. The lace design of the edges improves the stability and control of the glove in the high impact areas which include the thumb and pinky. The “Oil Plus” leather is a testament to Mizuno’s heritage in sporting goods.

The manufacturer places a strong emphasis on quality products and we can see this even with the features of the glove. Mizuno has introduced a new technology called Heel Flex Control which is aimed at improving the flexibility of the glove. The technology is patented by the Japanese company and it is one of the reasons you would want to choose this glove other similarly priced models.

This new technology is a solid base for the redesigned pocket. It now allows you to stop and hold the ball and is a huge step forward from the classic gloves which saw you dropping the ball after stopping it.  The Mizuno MVP Prime is looking pretty good so far.

Design

The design of the Mizuno MVP Prime is indeed centered around stopping, holding or releasing the ball. The solid lace stitching gives players more control, especially in the areas of the thumb and pinky. This means you`ll be better equipped at stopping the ball. The premium feel of the Mizuno MVP Prime is also underlined by the overall design and coloring options. Together with the Outfit Shock 2 Web technology which will give you more stability, you`ll be able to better control the ball with a distinctive looking glove at a reduced price compared to the competitions`.

Mizuno has decades of manufacturing experience. The Japanese manufacturer has been producing some of the most interesting sporting equipment to date. The company did not fail with the Mizuno MVP Prime. It has introduced some of the best materials in gloves which include soft, oily, leather. It was then added their patented technologies which improve ball control in all stages of stopping, holding and releasing.

Furthermore, their extra efforts with the lacing around the edges can make the difference in the responsiveness of the thumb and the pinky. This area now manages to create a pocket which may seem to dictate the way a ball should be handled on the pitch. Mizuno has also placed some much-needed attention to the smaller details. The Mizuno MVP Prime come in multiple color patterns which make it desirable for all types of players, regardless of the outfit.

Overall

So the Mizuno MVP Prime looks like a very promising glove overall.  It looks like this is the Mizuno version of the Wilson A2000.  They are both great gloves but Wilson has the original.  If you like to spend a little less money while getting pretty much the same results then I would go for the Mizuno MVP Prime.  If you need the original then maybe you should look at the Wilson A2000.

Also keep in mind that it is not the glove, it is the player.  The glove is the utility for which you field baseballs.  If you are a good performer you can save a little by getting a Mizuno MVP Prime.

Overall this is a great glove, and think that many infielders can benefit from the stiffness but soft feel.  If you want to check it out on Amazon click the button bellow.  Thanks for reading!
