Mizuno Maxcor Baseball Bat Review

Mizuno Maxcor Quick Review

The Mizuno Maxcor baseball bat is out with its new 2017 model. The newest model is now lighter and as a result of this, the sound is also quite different from last years` model. The construction of the bat is based on a single-piece design. The fans of this type of design were actually looking forward to Mizuno`s upgrade and the latest model delivered a lighter product, which is easier to use. The alloy design certainly has its own fans and combined with the single-piece design it may indeed favor more advanced players or players who know exactly what they want from their bat. The improved sweet spot and the quality materials mean you`ll also pay a competitive price to own the bat.

Performance

As said above, the 2017 Mizuno Maxcor comes with a larger sweet spot. Mizuno used the aluminum alloy with variable wall thickness Coretech technology. This is what made the larger sweet spot possible and will be appreciated especially by experienced players. Players will also enjoy improved comfort with the bat, as the Dynamic Damper technology absorbs shocks or vibrations making the bat a good option for long games or longer training sessions. This bat is also a valid option for way tournaments or games, as it is versatile and not too heavy as a single option.

Design

The one-piece design is still congruent with Mizuno’s line and has its own charm. It allows for better control in the right hands and still manages to reduce vibrations to a comfortable level. The design also features a new end cap which is now lighter. This plays an important role in the final results and on what you can achieve with the bat. Players will find the bat comes with a lighter swing compared to the 2016 model. The sound is also new and not that impactful as last years` model. The design seems to cater towards the less experienced player, especially when compared to previous models.

The Mizuno Maxcor baseball bat comes as a modern upgrade to the series. While it doesn`t revolutionize last year`s design, it brings some improvements which might be worth considering. The first improvement is with the weight, as the bat will be easier to handle, even for the inexperienced player. The second improvement is the sound, which is very distinctive now but still appreciated by Mizuno fans.

As with all Mizuno products, the bat can be considered above average in its niche. It comes at a price where there is plenty of competition but with an improved moment of inertia, the bat might just provide enough to capacitate even older Mizuno fans to upgrade. With aluminum allow and Coretech design the barrel comes with a great design which is BBCOR certified. Some players may even upgrade just to get the latest in terms of comfort. The manufacturer used the Supra-Helix technology to improve the grip and comfort of the bat. If you`re looking for a -3 bat which is BBCOR certified, Maxcor might be among your top choices.
