Marucci Capitol Series Baseball Glove Review

Hey, everybody, it’s Chris back with another baseball review. This time we have an awesome glove that I’m super excited to tell you guys about.

First off, I have it all in a YouTube video. If you want to check that out click here.

I was super stoked when Marucci asked me if I wanted to review their new Capital Series Baseball Glove. As you could imagine I was super excited to put this review together for you guys.

You guys all know how I played Outfield when I was younger, but you know I could get down and dirty with some infield gloves. They’re just more fun to play with for some reason.

There’s something about infield gloves that I like. Maybe it’s because they’re lightweight and easy to move around. You could just have a lot of fun with these infield gloves.

Now let’s just get straight into the review so I can let you know if you should get it or not.

My Opinion

In my personal opinion, I believe that this glove is perfect for any infielder. You can almost compare this glove to the A2000 which is also quite popular right now.

At first, I was a little suspicious because when I think of Marucci I think of their Wood Baseball Bats and now Aluminum Bats, but now they can produce these outstanding, high-quality baseball gloves!

Out of the box, I was extremely pleased by how smooth and clean everything was. The glove I have is this creamy tan color with black laces. Awesome neutral colors for any baseball team.

I had to, of course, break it in before examining it, which took a couple of days. You guys all know how baseball gloves come stiff and hard to close so that wouldn’t have been fun.

By the way, I have a YouTube video explaining how to break in a baseball glove. If you guys want to check that out you can click on the video below.

After the break-in, I was super excited to get to fielding and catching with this glove. Just having my initial catch proved to me how much Marucci wants to compete with other glove companies.

The high-quality USA leather would make such a loud pop when catching it right in the pocket. That is also a good indicator that this is a high-quality baseball glove.

Fielding was also really nice because I have the 11.5-inch version which is meant for 3rd base because of the deeper pocket (Of course you can use this length for whatever position you want, 3rd base is just a suggestion).

The lightweight quality to the glove made it easy to move around for certain plays or fielding hops.

The inside of this baseball glove is super comfy because of the memory foam padding on the wrist, and the sheepskin finger linings and finger paddings. That also really shows how high quality this glove is.

So that’s my take on the Marucci Capital Series baseball glove. I think I’ll start using this in games whenever I have to play infield. It is just all-around a super high-quality glove I can get the job done with ease for you.

Specs

Now that you guys got my opinion on the baseball glove I’ll get into some of the details about it so you guys can know.

The Marucci capitals Series baseball glove has premium USA leather that is tanned in Japan. You can see and feel the high-quality once you hold this glove.

Next, the palm lining is Japanese Kip leather. This is important because it makes the structure of the Palm very rigid which is a must-have for an infield glove.

Also, we have professional-grade USA Rawhide laces from Tennessee tanning company.

Inside this baseball glove is super comfortable like I said before. We have a moisture-wicking mesh wrist lining with added memory foam padding, and sheepskin finger lining to make sure your whole hand is comfortable throughout the game.

I have a feeling that the Marucci Capital Series baseball gloves will be a lot more popular in the coming seasons.

About The Series

I only tried out the 3rd Bass version of this series but there are gloves for every position on the baseball diamond.

We have some awesome Pitcher gloves that have solid webbing so you can’t see through. There are gloves for Shortstop and Second Base with shorter pockets. We also have a First Base glove and a Catcher’s glove. And lastly, we have some awesome Outfield gloves as well.

Marucci calls the series the Capital Series because the tallest Capitol building in the United States is located in Baton Rouge. If you did not know that is where Marucci is located.

Capitol Building in Baton Rouge

I like the name Capital Series because it is not just a number like the A2000, a popular baseball glove right now.

There is a meaning behind Capital Series and shows that this series is at the top of its game.

I recommend anybody to go check it out on their website by clicking here for more information. You can also make a customized glove on their website to be able to have it in your team colors.

I’ve already seen a couple of people with a collection of colors for this series. I think that is awesome.

Conclusion

Overall I believe that this series is going to be one of the most popular glove Series in the next coming seasons. I had no problems with testing out this glove reusing it in real game situations.

If you are in the market for a new baseball glove, this might be the one for you.

Thanks for checking my review out and make sure you watch my video review on YouTube.

Thanks, guys. Peace!
