The past version of this bat was so great, I don’t know how they can make it better.
To my surprise, Louisville Slugger pulled it off and now it’s time to make my review.
Let’s look at some basic details about the Louisville Slugger Solo 619.
One of the main things that you should know about the Louisville Slugger Solo 619 is that it comes in all shapes and sizes. Click here to see if they have one for your league and age.
They have BBCOR and USA sizes for this bat so don’t feel left out.
Another thing about this bat is that it is a 1-piece aluminum structure. We’ll talk more about this later but these types of bats seem to be durable.
That’s good to know since this is a pretty big investment.
Ok that’s pretty much it for the basics about the Louisville Slugger Solo 619. Now let’s get into the fun part.
Like I said before, the Louisville Slugger Solo 619 has a 1-piece aluminum structure. From past bats we’ve seen that these types have a little more pop and are more durable.
What you trade off for those things is being comfortable. There tends to be more vibration for various reasons.
One reason is that it is just one piece all the way down. Compared to a two or three piece bat there
Another reason is that it is made of aluminum compared to composite. Composite has a little more flex and absorbance.
So enough about that, the Louisville Slugger Solo 619 has the new LS Pro comfort grip.
I like it but some people don’t so if you want to pick up a quick roll of tape to replace it with click here.
There is a SBC end cap that is featured on this bat. This allows it to have a quicker swing through the zone.
The Louisville Slugger Solo 619 has the fastest swing speed out of the Louisville Slugger lineup this year. That’s good to know if that is where you thrive when at bat.
I’d have to say as well when testing out this bat the pop did feel a little better than the previous version of this bat: the Louisville Slugger Solo 618.
Progress is what I like to see around here folks.
Also one last thing about the Louisville Slugger Solo 619 is the fact that you can use it straight out the wrapper.
Yes you still have to break it in at some point but it still performs great without traditional break-ins. Pretty cool if you ask me.
Now you guys want to know what I think about the Louisville Slugger Solo 619. I’ll tell you…
What I Think About The Louisville Slugger Solo 619
I love it.
It feels like the Louisville Slugger Solo 619 is just the right one for me personally.
For everyone else it is a very attractive bat as well. It is the cheapest Louisville Slugger option but still it’s pretty awesome.
You have the crazy pop, the fast swing, the premium feel.
That’s what I am looking for in a baseball bat.
Am I saying that the Louisville Slugger Solo 619 is for everyone? No I am not.
There will be many players out there who would prefer no vibrations at all, but for most people this is a great bat.
