Louisville Slugger Series 7 C271 Wood Bat Review

Louisville Slugger Series 7 C271 Maple

If you are in the market for a new baseball bat, I think the Louisville Slugger Series 7 C271 Maple baseball bat could be one of your options.

Louisville Slugger has been one of the leaders of baseball bat making for as long as I can remember.  My first wood bat was actually a Louisville Slugger as well.  If you look at most of the MLB bats, they are Louisville Slugger.  I’m telling you they are one of the wood bat experts.

Wood baseball bats are made for wood bat leagues, higher baseball leagues, and batting practice.  The thing about wood bats is that it is much more based on feeling than metal bats.  When you hit a baseball with a wood bat, it doesn’t go as far but you know exactly where you hit the ball.

Design

First off this bat is made of maple, which is a popular wood for baseball bats.  Maple is a hardwood, so it is more durable and creates a faster exit velocity.

Louisville Slugger utilizes the bone rubbing technique in the Louisville Slugger Series 7 C271 Maple baseball bat.  Bone rubbing was used by the greats like babe ruth.  They rub bones on the surface of the bat to close the wood pores.  This makes the bat harder, and even more durable.  Pores in the wood are inevitable, but they create little weak points in the bat which means it can break easier.

On the Louisville Slugger Series 7 C271 Maple baseball bat, there is already a lizard skin grip on it.  Most players would change it to lizard skin anyways so it is good to see that there is one less thing for you to do.  If you didn’t know, lizard skin is one of the most popular bat grips out there.  That is what they focus on at lizard skin and it became extremely popular which is why it is already incorporated in this bat.

This model is nice an balanced which makes you able to get some more bat speed.  A lot of wood bats nowadays are really heavy, especially when they have composite already incorporated into it.

The last thing that I’ll like to add is that this bat was made for all types of hitters.  Louisville Slugger already had power hitters and contact hitters in mind while engineering this bat.  It has a medium barrel and a small handle, made for a balanced weight that still has some mass behind it.

Overall

Overall I can say that this can be your next wood baseball bat if you are in the market.  The Louisville Slugger Series 7 C271 Maple baseball bat was made to fit all hitters and styles.  This bat comes in at a little more luxurious than other wood baseball bats.  The brand and material have a lot to do with that.

If you are in the market for a new baseball bat, I think that the Louisville Slugger Series 7 C271 Maple baseball bat can be a great fit.  You can trust the brand and the bat.  If you want to find out more about pricing details you can check it out on Amazon when you click on the button below.  Thanks for reading and make sure you look at some of my other baseball bat reviews!
