Easton S1 Baseball Bat Review

Easton S1 Quick Review

The Easton S1 is a lightweight composite baseball bat. It has proven its popularity over the years and it comes as a testament to Easton`s quality which has always been oriented towards the player. It has been regarded as one of the top BBCOR bats on the market without being unknown to the players. Many have got to appreciate its balanced point which was place in the center of the bat, making it faster and more aggressive. With a lower moment of inertia, the bat has made its fans which still use it to this day.

Performance

Many people tend to compare the S1 with the XL1. The biggest difference is that the S1 comes with the lower moment of inertia. This allows for players to hit at faster speeds, with more control. It is thus a recommended bat for the fast player with an aggressive style who doesn`t need the maximum weight with the cost of losing speed.

To achieve this, the barrel is made from the IMX advanced composite barrel. This type of material is only used by Easton and is known for its lightweight combined with hitting performance which can propel the ball to greater distances. As said above, players will appreciate the power output of the barrel without sacrificing speed. This is possible due to the IMX composite barrel and its abilities to deliver proper power, even of a lighter construction.

Design

One of the most interesting elements of design which is specific to Easton is the barrel-handle connector. The manufacturer used its ConneXion technology to properly distribute vibrations and confine them to the barrel. This makes it easier for the players to go for those powerful ball hits. These types of hits can put a heavy strain on the hands of the player. There also is an increased capacity of the handle to improve power. This is because the balance point of the bat will be more centered.

This plays a crucial role in the speed of the performance together with the strain it has on the hands. In theory, a higher balance point means the swing changes towards a powerful hit. A lower balance point, which sits in the middle of the bat means players can expect faster swings. But as always, higher speeds means off-center shots will cost you more. So you need to make sure you develop your skills for a fast and aggressive approach to see the maximum benefit of the bat.

The Easton S1 Baseball Bat is a very fast performer which can be appreciated by players with an aggressive style. It has been recognized due to its lower balance point. This should be the top feature to consider before making the purchase. If you would like a bat which can perform faster, without much loss in power than the S1 might be an option for you. The pricing is also attractive which means you`ll see it more and more on the pitch as many players will find it affordable.
