Easton Mako Beast
The Easton Mako Beast may be the one that you have been looking for.
With great pop and enhanced technology to make the ball fly farther, the Easton Mako Beast is actually a Beast, and is catching on everywhere there is baseball.
I have seen this bat blow up over the past couple of months more than expected. That just shows you the amazing power that the Easton Mako Beast possesses.
The much-anticipated release of the Easton Mako Beast has come with a fairly needed upgrade. This model was used in the 2016 World Series (which I have been to) and is now available to everyone. There are many sizes for the Easton MAKO Beast, including youth and adult sizes.
The bat is made from two pieces with the 2-1/4” barrel (youth) and 2-5/8″ barrel (adult) which is made from the durable composite material. Due to this, the Easton Mako Beast provides the great balance that lets you turn on the ball easier!
Easton has been one of the most prominent baseball bat companies over the past decades. Every baseball player has probably used an Easton bat in their life. I know that I had one when I was little. The Easton Stealth Speed was the bat that I hit my first home run with. We can see the same life and power in other Easton baseball bats, including (but not limited to) the Easton Mako Beast.
To start off, this bat has some new technology in it that makes it faster and more durable.
New Tech = Better Swing
This bat comes with a new barrel which uses the patented Thermo Composite Technology. Therefore, this means you’ll get more durability, as well as playability in its lifetime. The material is strong yet light and performs like a dream. The main focus of the bat is the power determination, which can impress even the advanced players.
I’ll talk about this a little later in the design section of my review.
Easton has outdone themselves with the amount of pop that is packed into this bat. Since that area of the bat is covered, the baseball community has been raving over how underrated this bat is. I definitely like the extreme pop that this bat has and think anyone can see the difference between another bat’s pop and the Easton Mako Beast’s.
If you want to send the ball flying farther than you imagined, you need more pop which is exactly what is delivered here. It is just one of those things that you can never have enough of.
Having a swing as smooth as butter is all up to this little connection piece with a big job.
This connection piece is called conneXion, and we have seen this technology with other Easton bats. Even though the conneXion piece is nothing new, it does make this baseball bat smoother and gives better energy transfer.
A smooth swing with nice energy transfer is important. You probably don’t think about it a lot (I know I don’t) but good energy transfer is a great thing to have. Basically what happens is the energy that you produce with your body isn’t always transferred to the ball as much as you want it to.
The Easton ConneXion piece makes sure that you get the best energy transfer out of your swing which gives you a swing that’s smooth like butter.
The Hyperskin Technology makes this a very comfortable grip with its 1.2mm thickness. If you’re lost in which thickness is best, a 1.2mm thickness for grip tape is pretty standard. Players will experience a smoother swing while not making any compromises on energy transfer and responsiveness, which means this bat has some big potential.
I know that when I’m up at the plate if I feel a little slipperiness or tightness on the handle, it starts to get to me. I think that the pitcher has the advantage since I’m already uncomfortable, which is not what you want.
That is why it is important to have a nice and comfortable grip on the bat, which you get on the Easton Mako Beast.
The design of the Easton MAKO Beast is my personal favorite with the popular two-piece construction.
Its barrel is a true beast as it releases all the power players need behind the ball. The Easton Mako Beast is definitely dinger-worthy.
Two-Piece Design/ Hyperskin Technology
This two-piece design is connected to the ultra-thin material of the handle which has been engineered for improved energy transfer. Additionally, players will appreciate the design of the handle which comes with the Hyperskin technology for improved comfort. Ultimately, this will have you playing for hours while reducing the shock impact on your hands.
Thermo Composite Technology
The design of the Easton Mako Beast would not be possible without the Thermo Composite Technology which has become a staple of Easton.
The bat has one of the most up to date material choices on the market and is loosely becoming desirable both due to the pricing and because of the appearances in the 2016 Little League Baseball World Series.
Its design allows for a balanced swing and a proper weight distribution with the ConneXion technology, which brings the two main pieces together for a smooth overall experience.
Why Should You Get The Easton Mako Beast?
The 2017 Easton MAKO Beast is an affordable option to get into the Thermo Composite Technology bats. The use of this bat in the Little League World Series has proved the Easton Mako’s versatility is great.
Less experienced players will have a small learning curve with the Hyperskin technology. Hence, this technology basically increases comfort while not sacrificing energy transfers.
