Best Baseball Swing Trackers [2019]

Hey, guys its Chris again with another review on the top baseball swing trackers around.

We’ve been seeing more and more of these devices be put out by sports companies and they’re really changing the game. I wish I had these things when I was trying to get a better swing.

Read through this article to learn what a swing tracker is and all the of best ones out there that you can buy!

What Is a Baseball Swing Tracker?

A baseball swing tracker is one of the coolest little gadgets you can buy to help your swing out.

There are a lot of sensors in the device that tells the computer all of the metrics you could ever want on your swing.

It sits at the knob of your bat and when you take a swing it’ll measure the forces of your swing and direction of your bat to help you get all of that precious data you need.

The best way to get better is to fix what you have wrong, and keep doing what you have right. The whole purpose of one of these things it to tell you exactly what you need to improve and what is good.

For most of the baseball swing trackers there is a little app that goes along so you can see all of your metrics right on your smartphone or tablet.

Not only do players use them, but coaches use them too.

At this batting cage near me I found a coach doing some BP with the players and they would all put the tracker on their bat to measure their swing. After a couple of swings the player would go to the coach and he would show all of the things they need to work on, just from the app!

That really changes the game for the efficiency of practice that players and teams can obtain.

Now let’s get into how it can help you specifically.

How Can A Baseball Swing Tracker Help Me?

For starters, look at how you practice right now (if you practice at all).

You most likely just go on a tee or have someone soft toss to you and get no feedback on how your swing is.

You might be able to hit the ball hard off a tee, but there can be some underlying issues that can impact your batting average.

What these devices do is really dig deep and use physics to measure what’s going on with your swing and how you can fix it.

For example lets say you do a lot of soft toss with a teammate. Sure you can smack the ball in the cage and feel like you’re doing it right but when you step up to the plate you strike out. What happened?

One thing that could’ve went wrong is the plane that your bat goes on. If it isn’t flat, you have less of your swing that will actually intersect the ball’s plane. These devices can tell you exactly how flat your swing is compared to other swings, and how you can fix it.

Pretty neat right?

Not too many coaches know what they’re doing either. I can tell you that most of my coaches throughout my life we’re just Dads volunteering.

In some of these devices, they give real tips and exercises that you can use that are used by the best of the best!

Now let’s get into the meat of this article and I’ll tell you my top 3 baseball trackers that will really improve your swing.

Top 3 Baseball Swing Trackers

Here’s where I break down the best 3 Baseball Swing Trackers that I found. If you want me to include a good one that you use, let me know by commenting!

Blast Baseball Swing Trainer

The Blast Baseball Swing Tracker is the first one that we’re going to talk about.

I really like this one because it is super-well rounded in terms of features.

In the app you can record your swing and watch all of the analytical data happen through your swing. So not only are you getting all of that good data that tells you if your swing is hot or not, but now you’re going to have a video to go along with it.

Another cool thing about this tracker is that it has helpful tips from some of the pros and their coaches. That is pretty helpful to anyone at any hitting level.

Lastly I really like how there are tips and drills that they teach you to get your swing to the next level.

Garmin Impact Bat Swing Sensor

When you think of Garmin, you probably remember those bulky GPS systems that you used to have when google maps wasn’t really a thing.

Now we can see their diversity with this really solid bat swing sensor.

One thing that seperates this Garmin Bat Swing Sensor from the others is that it has a little display on it, so you can see some data without having your smartphone on you.

That allows you to practice offline, which is a great feature to have.

The Garmin Impact Swing Sensor also has some tips and drills you can practice in the app that goes along with it.

Diamond Kinetics Swing Trainer

The Diamond Kinetics Swing Trainer is great because of it’s data that the other two don’t supply.

For one, in the app there is a screen where you can visually see the bat plane which is really cool.

Another cool feature that it has is that it displays how far you potentially hit the ball. There is a little field on the app that shows you the velocity, how far, what acceleration, all that stuff.

The only downside to the Diamond Kinetics Swing Trainer is that the app is only for apple, so if you have an android phone you’ll have to have a friend get the app or just see all of the analytics on your laptop.

How Do I Choose Which One is For Me?

There are a couple factors that come into play when picking which one is best for you.

One is price, as each one has a different price for value ratio.

Another factor is if you have an apple device or an android device, since only the first two have apps that can be on android.

Another thing is how much data do you actually need? Some baseball swing trackers are expensive because they have all of this cool data that you can look at, but do you really need it? The answer is up to you..

Who Are These For?

These trackers are for players that genuinely want to get better at the game.

Sure you can pay 500 bucks for a week-long hitting camp, but what will that do that this little device can’t?

I’m not saying don’t listen to your coaches because there are some pretty smart people out there that can diagnose your swing better than these devices can.

I’m saying this is an easy way to really get better at hitting the ball more consistently.

If you are in little league, I don’t know if it can help you as much. The lowest age that they recommend is beginning at 8 years old.

Make sure you look at the product description and manufacturer notes before buying.

Conclusion

Overall we see that these things are an awesome way to step up your game and your swing. Hitting is half of the baseball game and I personally would be willing to get one of these to be able to hit the ball better.

It’ll make the game for fun, and competitive for the other team.

It feels good to be the best hitter on the team.

Thank you so much for reading my review on the best baseball swing trackers!
