2020 Louisville Slugger Select PWR Review

Yo, what’s up guys it’s Chris again with another awesome review on an awesome bat review. This time we’re going to be looking at the 2020 Louisville Slugger Select PWR.

Let me keep it simple here by saying I love this bat from the jump. It is similar to the 2020 Louisville Slugger Select, but with a key difference. That difference is the swing weight and feel through the zone.

When testing this bat out I could tell that it was a little heftier than other bats. Hence the name Select PWR.

With the heavier swing weight, it is a little laggier through the zone but has some insane carry to the ball when you make solid contact.

Ok now let’s get into some specs and other things about the bat to help you make a purchasing decision.

Features

To start, this bat has most of the same specs as the Louisville Slugger Select so don’t be surprised if they sound the same.

We got the EKO composite barrel that brings a little more weight since this is the PWR version of the Louisville lineup this year. I couldn’t tell you what EKO means but I can tell you that the barrel is huge, and it delivers a lot of power.

Next, we got a premium RTX end cap that allowed Louisville to increase the barrel length a little.

And the last thing that I will go over in the specs is the 3FX Connection System that gives the swing a stiffer feel to it. I talk about this more in my 2020 Louisville Slugger Meta review.

Other than that there’s little things like the LS PRO Comfort grip which I do like, and that the 2020 Louisville Slugger Select PWR is BBCOR certified.

Next, I’ll talk about who this bat is for.

Who is the Louisville Slugger Select PWR For?

I would recommend any big boys for this bat. It is meant for players who have a little more size and strength behind the ball.

Don’t worry if that isn’t you because there are other models meant for all sizes. Click on the “Bats” tab and check out some of my reviews there, or some of the selections on the dropdown.

Sum Up

In all this is a great bat and I do recommend it if you were in the market for a new baseball bat.

Louisville Slugger did a great job with the design of this bat this year and the feel on the swing. Like I said before, this bat is meant for the player that has a little more mass to them and like to swing heavier bats.

I like to use lighter bats that I know I can get around the ball with but that’s just my preference. Every baseball player is different.
