2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime Baseball Bat Review

You all know how much I love Louisville Slugger and their bats. The 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime is no exception to that fact.

If you are looking for that shiny new baseball bat that everyone is using this season, I think this is it.

The Prime series bats have shown to be a great option for a lot of high school players around the US. This is why I really think that the 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime is a competitor this year.

Details

First off, the 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime is a 3-Piece Composite baseball bat.

What that means in English is that there are 3 separate pieces that make up this bat. Also, the main material used in the barrel and around the bat is composite.

Having it in 3 pieces means that Louisville Slugger can alter the weight of the bat to make it have a specific swing feeling. We’ll talk more about that later.

Another thing that you should know about the 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime is that it has a -3 length to weight ratio. This is just the ratio that most College and High School players use.

The last little piece that you should know about the 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime is that it is BBCOR certified.

That means that you can use the 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime for High School and College use.

Features

Now lets get into the good part about any baseball bat review.

One of the main features of the 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime is the New RTX End Cap. This creates a longer barrel shape while producing a nice sound on contact.

RTX End Cap

Pretty crazy what an end cap can do to the whole bat structure.

There’s also a new pro comfort grip on the 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime. When I tried it out it was pretty good to me. If you don’t like it you can always pick up some new bat grip tape.

On the new 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime there’s a really satisfying barrel to it as well. You’ll be able to feel that it’s a little heavier at the top but some batters like that feeling.

They call it an EKO barrel… whatever that means.

All I know is that it’s a beast and I love it.

Other than that they have the 3FX connector piece and a smooth swing feeling but that’s pretty much it.

What Do I Think?

Now here is the part where I validate all of the details and tell you if it’s the right one for you or your son/daughter.

So far I think the 2019 Louisville Slugger Meta Prime is going to be a great competitor this year for BBCOR bats.

It has a slight top heavy feel on the swing but it is pretty satisfying in my opinion.

There is some awesome technology in this bat as well which will evidently add to the price. In this case you get what you pay for so if you’re ready to invest in a great baseball bat I think that this can be it.
