2018 Easton Beast x Speed

Do you ever wonder what happens when a tornado meets a volcano, or lightning meets thunder?  Well, I can assure you that the results are similar to the 2018 Easton Beast x Speed.  The new technology that is implemented into this bat is insane and I can’t wait to break it down for you.

First off I just want to let any newbies know that Easton has been one of the leaders of making dinger sticks (baseball bats) and has really shown us with this new 2018 line of X powered bats.  You’ll see soon how this thing brings power which is the beast part, and speed which is the bat speed part all into one amazing product.  Let us get into it and see all of the specs and design features.

Design

First, let’s look at the design of the bat so we can see all of the great stuff put into the 2018 Easton Beast x Speed.  First off it is made of a super strong ATAC alloy, which is a newer alloy.  This type of metal is super strong and powerful at the same time, without giving more weight on the bat or bulkiness.  ATAC stand for Advanced Thermal Alloy Construction which is the strongest and best aluminum barrel on the market at this time.  Usually I don’t like Aluminum-Alloy bats but with this new ATAC technology its looking pretty good for all future alloy barrels.

Another great feature of this bat that really takes the comfortably to another level is the 1.4mm Hyperskin grip that is implemented.  Not only does this make it more comfortable to grip, but it gives you ease when you’re up at the plate.  The theory behind this grip is that this is the most comfortable, cushioned, and grippy tape that is out there right now.  This is why Easton added this to its power brigade line of bats.  You want to feel like the bat is just a continuation of your body, and the key to that is tape.  Why do you think Lizard Skin is a thriving company? The reason is because of the importance of a great grip.  The Hyperskin grip which is part of the Hit Lab collection really is the icing on the cake with this bat.

Performance

With the new ATAC alloy material and one-piece design, the 2018 Easton Beast x Speed is one of my top prospects right now. You can tell that this bat was made to go the distance by its performance in the 2017 college world series, which is where I first heard about this bat.  Also this bat is -3 and follows all of the BBCOR regulations which means that you can use this on a college and high school level.  This is expected from Easton as they are one of the best bat manufacturers out there.

One last thing that I want to point out is that the 2018 Easton Beast x Speed has the best bat speed for how much power is packed into it.  So yes I did go over the ATAC alloy and how awesome and innovative that it is, but what is the other factor.  Well, the 2018 Easton Beast x Speed has one more trick up it’s sleeve which is the Ghost X advanced composite.  Not only does this make the bat a lot lighter, but the power that it packs into this thing is unbelievable.  So overall I am super excited about how this bat will perform this year and all of the advancements to the market that this bat created.
