Easton MAKO Beast Quick Review
The much-anticipated release of the 2017 Easton Mako Beast has come with a fairly needed upgrade. This model was used in the 2016 World Series (which I have been to) and is now available to everyone. The youth -12 bat comes with the famous Easton composite for speed and depth with every game. The bat is made from two pieces with the 2-1/4” barrel which is made from the durable composite material. Due to this, the Easton Mako Beast provides the great balance that lets you turn on the ball easier!
To start off, the -12 engineering means the Eason Mako Beast is a faster performer. The main focus of the bat is the power determination, which can impress even the most astute players. This bat comes with a new barrel which uses the patented Thermo Composite Technology. Therefore, this means you’ll get more durability, as well as playability in its lifetime. The material is strong yet light (like me) and performs well.
In addition, for a proper energy transfer the barrel is connected to the improved handle. This transfer is possible due to the thin 29/32” composite which completes the barrel for a seamless playing experience. The Hyperskin Technology makes this a very comfortable grip with it’s 1.2mm thickness (which is a good thickness that I would usually use). Players will experience a smoother swing while not making any compromises on energy transfer and responsiveness, which means this bat has some crazy pop.
Easton Mako Beast Design
The design of the bat is my personal favorite with the popular two-piece construction. The barrel is a true beast as it releases all the power players need behind the ball. The Easton Mako Beast is definitely dinger-worthy. This two-piece design is connected to the ultra-thin material of the handle which has been engineered for improved energy transfer. Additionally, players will appreciate the design of the handle which comes with the Hyperskin technology for improved comfort. Ultimately, this will have you playing for hours while reducing the shock impact on your hands.
The design of the Easton Mako Beast would not be possible without the Thermo Composite Technology which has become a staple of Easton. The bat has one of the most up to date material choices on the market and is loosely becoming desirable both due to the pricing and because of the appearances in the 2016 Little League Baseball World Series. Its design allows for a balanced swing and a proper weight distribution with the ConneXion technology, which brings the two main pieces together for a smooth overall experience.
The 2017 Easton MAKO Beast is an affordable option to get into the Thermo Composite Technology bats. The use of this bat in the Little League World Series has proved the Easton Mako’s versatility is great. Less experienced players will have a small learning curve with the Hyperskin technology. Hence, this technology basically increases comfort while not sacrificing energy transfers.
More experienced players will salute the high impact the bat makes with every swing maximizing the strength needed to push their skills to the next level. Easton has used some of its latest patented technologies on this bat which means players will be able to experience the latest features even at youth level. The bat comes with an attractive design and color which can be used in any situations and may favor players in warmer climates.
